For as long as I can remember I have had huge, noticeable pores on my nose, chin, and cheeks. I have what you would call combination skin, meaning it is so hard to find products that work well without making my skin react and keep my oily t-zone looking fresh.
It was two years ago when I first discovered face primers, and the way that certain primers could make your skin look absolutely flawless for a perfect makeup base. I have been trying out many different products to see what really works the best and these are my top seven based on performance and price point.

Starting at number seven, we have the Wet n Wild CoverAll Primer.
I purchased this for $4.99 at Walmart in the US but it can also be purchased in Canada. It has 0.84oz of product. This primer is white in colour and is thinner than the rest. It goes on transparent and feels a bit sticky on the skin.
Claims: to cover and fill in imperfections such as pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and to act as a complexion perfecter with its white sapphire ingredient.

As far as pore minimizing goes, I didn't notice a huge difference. It made a small difference, but I really loved it for the rest of my face as well. It made my makeup last all day and didn't break out my skin. For the low price point, this primer is definitely a steal!
Next up at number six we have the Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish foundation primer which is a natural finish.
I purchased this for $20.00 CAD from the Sephora website as a travel size at 0.50oz, where the full sized product is $44.00 CAD for 1oz.
Claims: An iconic primer that preps skin to create a perfect canvas for flawless foundation application.

Although this primer isn't made specifically for pores, it is made to make the skin look flawless. It did not make my pores look flawless but did make my skin velvety and soft to the touch for foundation to glide right on. It is a clear colour, thick, and feels very silicone based.
In fifth place, we have the Make Up Forever Step 1 Equalizer Smoothing Primer. I only have the sample size, but the full size can be found on Sephora and is $45.00 CAD for 1oz of product.
Claims: For large pores and fine lines to smooth the skin's surface.

This primer had a nude tint to it and did a semi-thick consistency and silicone feel. It did live up to its claims and did a decent job at smoothing out my skin but I would not purchase a full size.
At number four we have the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional face primer.
I purchase this for $39.00 CAD from Shoppers Drugmart and it has 0.75oz of product.
Claims: A professional balm that minimizes the appearance of pores.

This primer is definitely one of my favourites. It makes the skin look absolutely flawless under makeup, I just wish it had the full ounce of product for the price point! It has a nude base which turns translucent on the skin and has that same silicone feel to it for a smooth base to keep my skin from getting oily but I did find it logged my pores a bit.
In third place, we have the newest pore minimzing primer that I have added to my collection. This one is the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing face primer.
I purchased this for $38.00 CAD from Sephora and it has 1oz of product. I thought that was a reasonable price for a pore primer and I love Too Faced so I decided to try it.
Claims: A makeup primer scientifically formulated to achieve the look of flawless skin without makeup.

This primer has a very similar texture to the Benefit POREfessional, but I just found that it glided nicer on the skin. It also has a nude base that goes on translucent. I didn't notice that it made my skin look flawless without makeup (I have discolouration) but it did hide my pores!
At number two we have the Nyx Pore Filler face primer. I purchased this from Shoppers Drugmart for $16.99 and it t has 0.67oz of product.
Claims: Reduce the appearance of your pores with the perfect pre-foundation base coat to smooth and enhance skin.

I am absolutely obsessed with this face primer. It does all that it claims and fills in my pores amazingly. I love that it is affordable as well. The consistency is different as it comes out a bit balled up and awkward, but i just blend it with my finger and it applies well. This is a go to for me. It has a nude tint and goes on translucent and does not clog my pores.
Finally, in the number one spot we have the Smashbox Cosmetics Pore Minimizing Photo Finish Foundation Primer which is a matte finish.
I purchased the travel size of 0.50oz from Shoppers for $20.00CAD, and the full size can be purchased for $50.00 CAD for 1oz of product. As you can see its a way better deal to buy the travel sizes.
Claims: A perfecting primer that instantly blurs imperfections and reduces the appearance of pores for up to eight hours.

This primer takes the cake for the number one spot. It is a combination of all of the great perks of each primer I have mentioned. It has a thick consistency and identical to the Nyx Pore Filler, but does not separate when squeezed from the tube. It is a lighter nude shade but goes on translucent, and just makes my skin look absolutely stunning.
If you are on the hunt for a good pore minimizing product, I highly highly recommend this primer. I recommend any of the top four primers I have mentioned, but this one truly impressed me. It didn't clog my pores and kept my foundation looking great for hours on end.
I always hated the look of my pores and these products are truly life savers :)
